02: Sort by Category & Prepare

Group hot chocolates into categories; we recommend 3-4. Then prepare each hot chocolate the same way so you can compare them fairly (i.e. use only milk or only water, not both).

03: Observe, Taste, and Smell

Start by tasting all the hot chocolates in one category before moving on to the next.

04: Take Notes

Jot down your impressions of each hot chocolate. Notice the differences in flavor, but also smell and texture. Download our tasting notes template to get started.
