Dubai Chocolate Tasting

July 21, 2026

Is a $17 chocolate bar worth the hype? I taste-tested to find out.

Somewhere in Dubai, a pregnancy craving turned into a global obsession. And now every grocery store endcap has a knockoff.

But with so many bars (and spreads, and everything in between) claiming to be the best, how do you know which one is worth the hype?

I’m Noelle, Sales Manager at Avital, and last week I tried 12 different Dubai Chocolates so you know what to toss in your cart.

My Dubai Chocolate Tasting

I tasted the 12 Dubai chocolates across three categories: ClassicsWild Flavors, and Spreads. From a bar actually made in Dubai to a Godiva version that just hit shelves this spring, I ate my way through the whole lineup (and then proceeded to eat a giant vinegary cucumber salad for lunch to cut through all that richness!!)

Classics

  • Lovetta Pistachio – $17 per bar
  • Beyoglu Dubaco Milk – made in Turkey
  • Godiva Dubai – A limited edition launch; just released Spring 2026
  • ChocCart Dark Pistachio – Actually made in Dubai/UAE

Wild Flavors

  • Lovetta Cookie Butter
  • Beyoglu Dubaco Hazelnut
  • Konak Angel Hair – Two trends in one bar
  • ChocCart Dark Biscuit & Kunafa
  • ChocCart Mango & Passion Fruit – this isn’t technically Dubai Chocolate, but same spirit so we included

Spreads

  • Patis Savore Dubai Chocolate Spread
  • Ceres Gourmet Dubai Chocolate Spread
  • Mattigan’s Dubai Chocolate Spread – Won the 2025 Sweets & Snacks Expo “Most Innovative New Product” in the Gourmet Confections category, and made by a women-owned business
