Donato Enoteca serves authentic Italian food, tapas-style, alongside a fabulous selection of Italian wines. It has 4 different private dining spaces for you to choose from. The Colleoni Room can accommodate up to 70 guests and comes equipped with an AV setup, making it a great space for presentations or a product launch event. The Salsa Donizetti room is perfect for an intimate gathering up to 12, and The Gaja Room has a similar setup but can seat up to 24. The last space on offer is the Enoteca Patio for 30 which is lovely in the nice weather. Donato Enoteca offers private parties a 3, 4, or 5-course preset menu to choose from.

The motto here is “every experience at Selby’s feels like a celebration”, and when you book one of their special private dining spaces we’re sure you’ll agree! They offer 3 rooms, starting with The Balcony Room for 40, which overlooks the main dining room from above. The second is the Card Room, which is an intimate space that seats up to 8, and the third is a buyout of the entire second floor where they can accommodate up to 70 for a large private dining experience.
Selby’s also offers special experiences you can add onto your event like wine-tasting, conversations with the chef, or cocktail making tutorials. It’s unique, it’s delicious, and it’s one of our favorite Michelin star restaurants in the Bay Area.
Best for: Team building dinners, end-of-the-quarter celebrations, and big anniversary parties.

4. Angelica’s Bistro
Angelica’s Bistro is a vibrant Latin-Californian Fusion restaurant that has been creating festive dining experiences for their guests since 2006. They have two indoor and one outdoor private dining room. Inside they have the Bell Two Room for 62 and Bell Three Room for 30. They also offer Angelica’s Courtyard in the back for up to 65 guests. Angelica’s has a lively and theatrical atmosphere that pairs well with their exciting menu. When it comes to menu options they can do a plated sit down menu, a buffet for groups of 30+, or “Heavy Appetizers” for a cocktail reception-style event.

5. Ranzan
Ranzan is an upscale Japanese restaurant that has perfected the art of Kaiseiki, which is a traditional multi-course meal showcasing seasonal ingredients and beautiful presentation. They have three intimate private dining rooms for groups of 4-6. The Matsu Room and Take Room are for 4 and the Kiri Room is for 6. These rooms are small and sparsely furnished which allows the exquisitely plated and prepared food to shine. It also allows for more intimate conversation while you spend a few hours together and serve an exquisite, multi-course meal.

6. Vesta
Vesta is a cozy Redwood restaurant that specializes in wood-fire pizza. They have a lovely back patio for private groups of up to 30 where your guests will enjoy their incredible selection of pizzas, small plates, beer and wine. The vibe is casual and familial, so ordering up multiple pizzas for everyone to share is a must! Repeat customers rave about pies with topping combos like sausage and honey, pesto and sopressata, or rosemary potato and bacon.

7. Límon
Límon is a chic Peruvian restaurant that you may recognize from some of our other private dining in Silicon Valley posts. They have several locations in California, each with unique private dining options. Redwood City is their smallest location, but no less strong in menu or execution. The only private dining option here is a buyout of the 120 seat restaurant. LV Mar is a colorful Tapas restaurant where their innovative small plates and craft cocktails are the star of the show! They have two private dining spaces, the first is a white table cloth-laden room for up to 12 that has an upscale corporate ambiance, and the second is their more casual outdoor patio space for up to 30. Small-plate restaurants often make for great private dining experiences because your guests have the opportunity to taste a lot of the menu and go back for seconds on their favorite dishes.
Best for: The room for 12 is best for business dinners and team-building events. The outdoor patio is great for family parties and birthdays.

9. Vino Santo
Redwood City locals rave about Vino Santo’s authentic Italian food and top-tier hospitality. They have an excellent private dining space for up to 110 on their outdoor patio. It’s a large and inviting space that can be set up for a range of different events and dining experiences. They offer two pre-fix dining menus for your convenience, at different price points, that start with assorted plates of their best appetizers for the table and feature menu favorites like Eggplant Parmesan, pappardelle with panchetta and mushrooms, or Cabernet-braised short rib served family-style for the entree-portion.
