Though Spring is in full swing, it’s finally getting warm enough to eat outside. So take an extra long lunch break or book a Sunday morning reservation and enjoy the weather with a side of mimosas. Here’s your NYC patio brunch guide.

Bricolage

In San Francisco, we love Slanted Door, so it makes sense that we love Bricolage, which was started by some of its alums. Brunch is served 11 am- 3 pm on weekends. The Vietnamese inspired menu includes unique items such as the Breakfast “banh xeo” Crepe, Pork Belly Hash, and Fried Chicken & Waffle with siracha butter. Enjoy them all (along with a Thai Basil Gimlet) on the back patio.

Loosie’s Kitchen

The website of Loosie’s Kitchen reads, “Welcome Home” and while your NYC apartment probably doesn’t have the same hip (or Instagram-worthy) backyard as Loosie’s, it really is easy to make yourself at home here. They vow to “cure hangovers at the cafe from 7 am, and then help make new ones at lunch”. Visit between 11 am and 3 pm on weekends to score Nutella beignets, baked eggs, and cornbread with bacon jam.

The Butcher’s Daughter

Our LA guides regularly visit the Venice location of The Butcher’s Daughter (where you can sit outside all year long) and our New York crew waits until the weather is great to snag outside seats at the Nolita or West Village locations. Sip on one of the seven different kinds of mimosas (from blood orange to watermelon, lime, and lavender) and order one of our favorites: the Pomegranate Porridge, Coconut Yogurt Parfait, or Weekend Waffles.

Narcissa

Head to the East Village for a backyard getaway. (Or if you really want to get away, The Standard Hotel is right next door.)  The patio at Narcissa is a dreamy spot where even dreamier food is served. Go for a mix of sweet and savory with the French Toast Bites, Carrot Fries, Tomato Benedict, Lobster Soft Scramble, and Iced Cinnamon Buns.

Sunday in Brooklyn

Is there a more pleasant restaurant name than Sunday in Brooklyn? Even more joyful is that brunch is served every day. On weekdays you can order brunch from 10 am – 4 pm, and on weekends things start earlier at 9:30 am. During warm days eat a variety of breakfast sandwiches on the rooftop garden or take your Malted Pancakes with hazelnut maple praline and brown butter to the sidewalk cafe.
